2020 Reading Challenge Reviews: Book 7

Hello readers!  Every once in a while, I might have weeks where I just don't read as quickly as others. These weeks will have one book per post, like this post. :) That said, I really enjoyed Book 7. I got it from the library specifically to be part of the Pop Sugar Reading Challenge (overview in a prior post or you can get the details on their website), and I'm so glad I did. Here is my book review for my 7th book of 2020: Book 7: Twenty Wishes   by Debbie Macomber I gave this book 4/5 stars on Goodreads.  This book is actually apparently the 5th in a series of books about different characters that live or work in the same area. However, I didn't read the first 4 yet and I felt this was a good stand-alone book as well. It follows 38 year old Anne Marie who recently lost her husband as she tries to come to terms with being a widow and searches for meaning in her life again. She ends up getting together with a group of fellow widows on Valentin...

2020 Reading Challenge Reviews: Books 5 & 6

Hello readers!  As you can see from the title of this post, I skipped book 4. Book 4 was an ARC that I read through NetGalley that has it's own post two weeks ago. I like to try and review my ARCs as I finish them, and I try to read them in a reasonable amount of time for the author and publisher. This means, that sometimes the ARC reviews will cut in line from the other book reviews I post each week. (That's why my review for book 4 came before my review for book 3). Books 5 and 6 were both books I received from Book of The Month. I love Book of The Month, and recently became a BFF for getting 12 months worth of books from them. One of my goals this year is to try and keep up better with reading my Book of The Month books as I get them. Sometimes I end up deciding one book is just not enough, and get multiples a month though so I'm playing a little catch up right now. Here are my book reviews for my 5th and 6th books of 2020: Book 5:  Topics of Conversatio...

2020 Reading Challenge Reviews: Book 3

Hello readers!  As I'm planning my wedding for this time next year, I found that I really wanted to read some chick-lit/romance. What better way to do that than to continue the Bride Quartet series by Nora Roberts? Here is my book review for my 3rd book of 2020: Book 3:  Bed of Roses   by Nora Roberts I gave this book 3/5 stars on Goodreads. (Photo courtesy of Goodreads) This series follows a group of four life long friends who loved playing make-believe when they were kids, particularly, planning each other's weddings. Now, years later, they all live and work on the same large property (in different buildings) that also serves as the venue for their business. What business? Why planning weddings of course! The first book followed photographer Mac, and this book follows florist, Emmaline. Emmaline is a very romantic person. She loves big gestures, and has certain expectations in love. She always seems to have a date, but has never fallen in ...

2020 Reading Challenge Reviews - Books 1 & 2

Hello readers! Welcome to 2020! This year I've decided to do the Pop Sugar Reading Challenge again. You can find out more info on it on the Pop Sugar website or my Overview post from last year. I've also included the 2020 prompts in my '2020 Reading Challenge' post if you want to check those out.  This year I'm going to be doing things a little bit differently. I'm still going to review every book that I read, but I may not always include the prompt. This is because, with some of the prompts this year, I think as I read more books I may want to shift some of the books around from the prompt I intended for them to one that fits them better or if another prompt comes along that fits their initial prompt better, etc. I'm also not going to share every book I read on my instagram story this year, but will try to keep up with posting photos of them weekly so feel free to check that out if you're interested. :) Here are my book reviews for my ...

2020 Reading Challenge

Hey friends! It's a new year, which means there's a new reading challenge. For those who weren't following my reading goals last year, I've decided to participate in the PopSugar Reading Challenge again. I found that last year it helped me broaden my reading horizons and always have something lined up to read so I didn't hit too many ruts. I've also decided to increase my reading book goal from 60 to 65 for 2020. I'm going to try to keep up with doing at least one if not multiple reviews per week, but I'm not going to lie, I'm not sure how quickly I'll be able to keep up with reading and reviewing (especially in the beginning of the year). Some weeks may have only one review, or may have a slightly different blog idea. Other weeks might then get multiple reviews depending on how quickly I finish different books. That said, here are the PopSugar Reading Challenge Prompts for 2020. If you want to join me in my reading goals or read any bo...
