Never Forget - A Moment of Silence

Apologies that this went up a day late. Yesterday was the anniversary of a day that frankly words cannot describe. To all of the first responders and people who helped each other 18 years ago, thank you. To all those lost, rest in peace. There truly are no words, and so the blog will be taking a brief hiatus this week as a version of a moment of silence. Never forget.

I'm really loving the Pop Sugar Reading Challenge. It's been helping me with a couple of reading related things I struggled with in the past. First, it's helping me always have a next book ready to read, so that I haven't hit a point so far this year where I don't know what to read next and end up reading nothing for a few weeks. Second, and perhaps more importantly, it's been helping me broaden my reading horizons and read books that I wouldn't normally have read. 2019 Reading Challenge Reviews - Books 19 & 20

Book 19:  Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts.  by Bren é   Brown I gave this book 2/5 stars on Goodreads. The prompt I chose for this was "A Book by an author whose first and last names start with the same letter"  I'd heard amazing things about this book, and so when my sorority decided to read it for their book club I was excited to join in. The wait to get this book from the library was well over a month, and I took that as a good sign too that it was well loved and going to be a great book. Unfortunately, for me that was not the case. Hello readers! Welcome to 2020! This year I've decided to do the Pop Sugar Reading Challenge again. You can find out more info on it on the Pop Sugar website or my Overview post from last year. I've also included the 2020 prompts in my '2020 Reading Challenge' post if you want to check those out.  This year I'm going to be doing things a little bit differently. I'm still going to review every book that I read, but I may not always include the prompt.
